Primary Care

At Yuma Regional Medical Center, we understand that keeping your family healthy is a top priority for you. That’s why our primary care team is dedicated to providing exceptional, compassionate health care for every member of your family.

Your primary care provider will generally serve as your first point of contact whenever a medical need arises. They will monitor your health, provide recommendations for preventive care and treat any medical conditions or concerns you may have. They will also refer you to specialists or specialized services whenever necessary to ensure that you are getting the most comprehensive care possible.

Based on your individual needs and those of your family, one of the following types of primary care providers may be right for you:

Family Medicine – These providers specialize in caring for family members of all ages, from babies to grandparents. They monitor patients’ overall health, treat common illnesses and injuries, manage chronic diseases and provide essential services, such as immunizations.

Internal Medicine – Also referred to as internists, these providers specialize in providing comprehensive medical care for adults, including the management of chronic and/or complex conditions.

Pediatric Medicine – Pediatricians manage the health of children, from newborns to teenagers. These providers specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of ailments, track the child’s growth to adulthood, and provider essential services, such as immunizations.
