Meet Your Palliative and Supportive Care Teams

As part of our commitment to providing compassionate care, Yuma Regional Medical Center has teams of specialists to provide palliative and supportive care.

Cancer Center Team

Dr. Jeanne Elnadry

Jeanne Elnadry, M.D.

After completing her internal medicine residency in Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Jeanne Elnadry came to Yuma in 1990 to work with the Indian Health Service. This was followed by 10 years in private practice. From 2004-2014, she served as the Medical Director for Hospice of Yuma. In 2001, Dr. Elnadry, along with a team from the Yuma Regional Medical Center Bioethics Committee, established the hospital’s Palliative Care Consultation Service.

Dr. Elnadry enjoys gardening and has a small urban farm at home.

Carrie Palliative Care

Carrie Lopez, D.N.P.

Carrie Lopez, DNP earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. She is an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner.

Carrie and her husband enjoy spending time with their nine children. They love to travel, attend sporting events, and visit family in Minnesota. In her spare time, Carrie enjoys listening to music and going to concerts, reading, exercising and spending time with her church family.

Deb Shubick NP Palliative Care

Deb Shubick, N.P.-C

Deb Shubick, NP-C earned her Master of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University. In her spare time, Deb enjoys hiking, traveling, concerts. She volunteers with animal rescue and foster animals.



Mario Vazquez NP Palliative Care

Mario Vazquez, N.P.-C

Mario Vazquez, NP earned his Master of Science in Nursing from the Grand Canyon University in Yuma, AZ. In his personal time, Mario enjoys traveling, hiking, going out to eat with family and spending time with his son.

Dr. Amrita Sabharwal Palliative Care

Amrita Sabharwal, M.D.

Amrita Sabharwal, MD earned her medical degree from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies. She completed an internal medicine residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY and a fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine at the University of California Irvine Medical Center in Orange, CA.
