The Orthopedic Services department at Yuma Regional Medical Center is staffed by specialists who are dedicated to providing excellence in orthopedic care.

Dr. Ron Clark

Ron Clark, M.D.

Dr. Ron Clark considers communication to be the most important part of medical care. Decisions related to each patient are always made “with” the patient rather than “for” the patient. He spends extra time to be current on the latest techniques for knee and shoulder problems as well as provide care for most common problems involving bones, muscles or joints.

Dr. Ron Clark received his medical doctorate and residency training in Orthopedic Surgery from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He completed his fellowship in Sports Medicine at Utah State University in Logan, Utah.

Dr. Rodney Henderson

Rodney Henderson, M.D.

Dr. Rodney Henderson is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon committed to excellence by pledging to provide the highest quality of orthopedic care possible. He specializes in the treatment of a multitude of sports injuries and a broad range of general orthopedic musculoskeletal conditions. His extensive experience allows him to manage nearly all aspects of orthopedic concerns. This broad spectrum of knowledge includes treatment for simple strains and sprains to sports injuries, complex fractures, and severely arthritic joints. He manages all patient concerns from shoulder to hand and hip to foot.

Dr. Henderson received his medical doctorate from St. Louis University School of Medicine in Missouri. He completed both his internship in General Surgery and residency in Orthopedic Surgery at St. Louis University Health Science Center in St. Louis, MO.  

Dr. Shawn Hermenau

Shawn Hermenau, M.D.

Dr. Shawn Hermenau specializes in the comprehensive treatment of numerous conditions affecting the cervical, thoracic and lumbosacral spine including degenerative disc disease, scoliosis, trauma, infections and tumors.

Dr. Hermenau received his medical doctorate from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C.. He completed his residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii and fellowship in spine surgery at Yale University.  

Dr. Ram Krishna

Ram Krishna M.D.

Dr. Ram Krishna received his medical doctorate in 1972 from Bangalore Medical College. Practicing in the field of Orthopedic Surgery for over 30 years, Dr. Krishna is prepared to treat a wide range of injuries to the musculoskeletal system, specializing primarily joint replacements in the knees and shoulders.  

Dr. Kit McCalla

Kit McCalla, D.O.

Dr. Kit McCalla is part of the Fracture Care Service Team of the Center for Bone and Joint Health at Yuma Regional Medical Center. Lt. Colonel McCalla is active duty Air National Guard, currently assigned to the 161st AZ ANG MDG in Phoenix.

Dr. McCalla received his medical doctorate from Des Moines University, College of Medicine, and completed his Orthopedic Surgical Residency at Michigan State College of Human Medicine. He completed his Health Policy Fellowship at Ohio University and his MBA at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville Haslam, College of Business.

Dr. Gregory Peare

Gregory Peare, M.D.

Dr. Gregory Peare specializes in hip, knee and shoulder replacements, ankle, knee and shoulder arthroscopy and sports medicine. He serves as the sports medicine physician for Yuma High School, Cibola High School and the Arizona Western College sports teams. Dr. Peare received his medical doctorate from the University of Arizona and completed his residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

Dr. William Tontz

William Tontz, M.D.

Dr. William Tontz, Sr. is part of the Fracture Care Service at the Center for Bone and Joint Health of Yuma Regional Medical Center. He has extensive experience in orthopedic trauma.

Dr. Tontz received his medical doctorate from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed an Internship and Residency at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. After serving in the Navy, he established and served as Chief of Ortho Trauma in a level-one trauma program in San Diego for 27 years.
