From newborns to grandparents, we’re dedicated to caring for your entire family when you need it most.
In order to help us better understand the current and future health care needs and quality of life issues for residents of Yuma County, Yuma Regional Medical Center conducts a Community Health Needs Assessment that helps us learn where we are, what we have done well, and what areas need additional focus to create a healthier Yuma County. We then use this information to create a Community Health Improvement Plan that identifies healthcare needs within our community, sets priorities for addressing these needs and outlines the resources and initiatives that will be put in place to promote healthy outcomes.
The most recent Community Health Needs Assessment found that our community’s leading health concerns include the rapid increase of diabetes and obesity rates, the need for additional primary care, dental and mental health professionals and the high rate of uninsured individuals we have compared to the state and country. Yuma Regional Medical Center remains focused on finding solutions to meet the community’s identified health care needs.
